Meet Talbot and Bonnie (the cute kids pictured): siblings who spent the summers of their youth at their quaint family cottage on Lake Rosalind, relishing in the delights of being kids who grew up in the 80’s and 90’s. Our simple three season property (pictured) was a two bedroom, one bathroom nest that housed our family of five year after year.
Fuelled by fond memories of this childhood retreat, in 2014 Tal and Bonnie set out to invest in Wasaga Beach, ON with a dream to establish a legacy rental property group built on pride, integrity and a healthy repeat customer base. Shortly thereafter, the vision came to fruition: the three properties operating under the name Dock Life Cottages (pictured), totally 30 units, now provide other families a memorable cottage experience mirroring Tal and Bonnie’s childhood.
But we noticed something…
Due its convenience factor renters tend to utilize third-party platforms such as Airbnb and VRBO to book their vacation rentals. Consequently, these sites have been gobbling up market share, burying the little guys, and, worst of all, charging big fees to both the customer and rental property owner.
Enter innSite design (‘inn’ meaning an establishment, ‘site’ referring to website). The founding of innSite design is twofold: 1) a dedication to strengthening fellow travel/rental accommodation’s online presence, and, 2) a concerted effort to combat the exploitation of clients by other web design firms.
